Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. The first Broadway parts include Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You her role, she received the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in an Play. Tony Award-winning actor Annaleigh Ashford is a veteran of her career collaborating with acclaimed actors and directors in stage both on and off screen. She is continuing to work on award-winning projects with many upcoming projects. Ashford's next venture will be a limited-edition Hulu series titled Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show premieres on November 22, and Ashford plays opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford's upcoming project is Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust that he will be starring with Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. As a Hulu Original, the film will be available on Disney DTC's platforms. In the month of March, 2023 Ashford is scheduled to return to Broadway and star opposite Josh Groban in the revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton is the director of the show. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main role in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX program American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the national story of a scandal that included Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp and other principal actors. Ashford was a part of two seasons on the hit CBS comedy B Positive. The show was created by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre it also featured legendary performers Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No stranger to Broadway Ashford won the Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her performance as Essie In You Can't Take It with You. In addition, she was in Broadway as a character in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde and the first performance as Lauren In Kinky Boots for which she was nominated for a Tony Award. Growing up in Denver Ashford currently splits her time between Los Angeles and New York.
